On the Montréal side, the borough makes half the logistics: a temporary no-parking sign for the truck takes about 15 working days of notice, the exterior staircases of Ahuntsic and Villeray belong to the march of the day, and condo towers from Bois-Franc to central Laval book their padded freight elevator in two-hour slots with a certificate of insurance filed in advance.
In Laval the driveway takes over from the permit: the 26-foot truck parks ten metres from the door, and the crew plans around Highway 13 and 440 rush hours instead.
